Along with Hung Ry, the Castello Plan also has some chef-related news to report.

Natasha Pogrebinsky, who has been the wine bar's chef since it opened in February 2010, is leaving to pursue opportunities elsewhere in the neighborhood, according to a letter posted on Ditmas Park Blog.

"Although I will not be returning to this restaurant I will continue to cook and will make an announcement in the coming weeks about where my new kitchen will be," she writes. "I hope to see you all very soon and to cook many more exciting meals for you. This is not goodbye, only a short break between meals."

In reviewing the restaurant in July 2010, The New York Times praised Pogrebinsky's "delicious small plates" and "petite and carefully composed" entrées, and later included the Castello Plan in its year-end roundup of the year's best inexpensive restaurants.
