Not long after No. 7's Tyler Kord passed judgment on some lackluster chain-restaurant sandwiches, the Department of Health passed judgment on his Fort Greene restaurant.

A Brownstoner reader noted that No. 7 was closed by the DOH last Thursday after inspectors slapped the restaurant with 44 points for such violations as evidence of live mice and improperly washed food-contact surfaces. The restaurant's website says that it's "closed for repairs."

A No. 7 staffer we spoke with a few minutes ago confirmed that the restaurant had been closed, but will reopen tomorrow for business. For the record, No. 7 Sub is an A student, with only 12 violation points.
