There Will Soon Be Two One Girl Cookies
Five and a half years after opening its wee storefront in Cobble Hill, One Girl Cookies is expanding to a second location, in DUMBO.
One Girl Cookies Void, filled
Crain's reports that Dawn Casale, who founded One Girl with her husband, Dave, has signed a lease for a 1,434-square-foot storefront in the ground floor of the ClockTower Building at 1 Main Street, which also houses Bubby's. In addition to their signature minuscule cookies, the location will also feature breakfast, cakes, cupcakes, and other sweets.
Casale told Crain's that she and her husband hope to "fill a void" in DUMBO by bestowing cupcakes and birthday cakes upon the neighborhood. Given that its residents have until now had to make do with Jacques Torres and Almondine, "void" is a very relative concept here.
