Moth Eaten: Adventures in Food

The Moth's monthly StorySLAM goes foodie this time around with an evening of gastro-tales hosted by Padma Lakshmi. David Chang, Gail Simmons, Adam Gopnik, and others are on the bill. Each will read a 10-minute story. Tickets are $8.

City Harvest is hosting this artisanal market, featuring more than 75 local vendors, including Brooklyn Cured, Fleisher's Grass-fed & Organic Meats, and Liddabit Sweets. Visit the Tasting Tent for dishes from the likes of Frankies Spuntino and Prime Meats.

Taste the West Village
The Yard at P.S. 41
Sunday, September 18, noon

New restaurants join the festivities this year, such as RedFarm, the Meatball Shop, Bell Book & Candle, Lyon, Left Bank, and Spasso. All proceeds from the event go toward P.S. 41 and its Greenroof Environmental Literacy Laboratory. Tickets start at $45.
