Pickles, Biscuits and Beer on the Upper West Side

The Southern-fried food trend continues to expand from the depths of Brooklyn, spreading up to the Lower East Side (Peels) to the Flatiron (Hill Country Chicken) to the Upper East Side (Southern Hospitality). Just an M86 bus ride away, we discovered a new place under construction: Jacob's Pickles.

The sign on the restaurant's window, located at 509 Amsterdam Avenue, between 84th and 85th streets, sums up its future offerings: "Beer, Biscuits, Pickles." While an email to the business got no response, we did find this ad online:

Jacob's Pickles, New American Bistro specilizing in Southern Comfort food, Craft Beer and American Spirits is located on the Upper West Side. [sic]

So there you go, Upper West Side; you're not being left out of the fried things 'n' beer formula that's sweeping the city.
