The Bean to Open This Month on Second Avenue

Indie coffee shop the Bean might have been forced out of its home on First Avenue following a takeover by Starbucks, but its resurrection is about to take place at the end of the month at 54 Second Avenue.
The Bean It lives on!
"We're in the process of building on Second Avenue," says owner Ike Escava, who hopes that construction will be finished by the end of November. "We're going to keep the flavor of the old store and try to keep the same menu." Along with La Colombe Torrefaction's opening on the corner of Lafayette and 4th, looks like Noho residents will easily be able to get their noncorporate coffee fix.
