It's a Festivus at the Big Gay Ice Cream Store on Thursday and Friday
Here's a sweet ending to the year. The Big Gay Ice Cream Shop will be celebrating the holidays on December 22 and 23 (the shop's last day open in 2011) with a Festivus spectacular.
During those two days, the shop will be launching the Festivus Miracle Cone, which is "really just vanilla ice cream dyed green and covered with red sprinkles." Red sprinkles because Frank Costanza finds rainbow sprinkles distracting, naturally. All proceeds from the sale of the Festivus Miracle Cone over both days will go to New York Cares for their Winter Wishes toy drive and annual Coat Drive. A collection jar will also be on hand for those feeling extra charitable.
But the celebration doesn't end there: The Big Gay Ice Cream Shop webcam will be up and running Friday afternoon and evening, and all customers are invited to air their grievances (or demonstrate feats of strength). They've even invited some "peculiar people" to voice their complaints on air. So head on over and give a big "fuck you" to all those who have wronged you this year. Sounds much more fun than bitching at the Christmas dinner table.
