The Waverly Restaurant Is Back in Business

It's back!

Stalwart Greenwich Village diner the Waverly Restaurant shuttered earlier this year, but as of this morning (slightly later than the predicted November opening), it's back to business as usual, slinging cups of coffee and big egg breakfasts.

The restaurant closed primarily to expand into what was formerly a liquor store located on Waverly Place, and the new digs are significantly more modern (if slightly more generic than the old-timey décor of yore). Nevertheless, in the day and age of fast-food meccas, old-school diners are becoming rarer and rarer. Waverly Restaurant, it's good to have you back.

So great to have this place back again. It is still as wondeful as it was. And the staff is back too.
