What's Happening This Week: Charity Wine Tasting
Maslow 6's Charity Tasting
At this Tribeca wine shop (211B West Broadway), a tasting will help fund a music education nonprofit -- the Harmony Foundation. Starting at 6 p.m. Monday, attendees can sample wines, meats, cheeses, and live music. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the group.
Kombucha Ale Release
The East Coast's first licensed kombucha distiller will host a brew release party at Queens Kickshaw on Thursday. The event, located at 40-17 Broadway in Astoria, will begin at 6 p.m. and feature special, launch-day prices of the maple vanilla rooibos kombucha blend -- $3 per 4-ounce glass, or $7 per 10-ounce cup.
Wine Tasting
Oenophiles of Greenpoint, unite! Dandelion Wine (153 Franklin Street) hosts a wine tasting Thursdays at 6 p.m. The event also features artisanal breads and cheeses from area shops.
