All hail the chocolate bar.

Did you know that today is National Bittersweet Chocolate Day? Cool, right? It's also National Hot Tea Month ... as well as National Oatmeal Month and National Soup Month. Who came up with this brilliance?

So, if there's one thing that you should do today, you should eat some chocolate, right? Well, that shouldn't be so hard. There are plenty of excellent chocolate spots to get your fix, from Park Slope's the Chocolate Room to the Chocolate Library in the East Village. Jacques Torres has multiple shops serving wicked hot chocolate (wickedly spice-laden, not wicked like a Masshole) including one in DUMBO and one in west Soho, and there's always your local Duane Reade. Or is that too lowbrow for such a sophisticated holiday?
