Year of the Takeout: Day 25 (UPDATE)

e976-1.jpg

Oh no!

As Jonathan Franzen would say, mistakes were made. Like, big-time.

A meeting with a colleague tonight ran late, and this Year of the Takeout blogger assumed -- seemingly incorrectly -- that she would be able to get takeout Chinese food post-appointment.

So, she did the next best thing -- and bought the closest item possible in Times Square around midnight.

But when she returned home, lest her hopes be completely dashed, she ordered something vaguely Chinese from Seamless in desperation.

And now, you are at the edge of your seat. Would the website come through and actually deliver her cuisine of choice around 1 a.m. (and allow this self-destructive exploit to continue), or will the project end as anonymously as it began?

Check back tomorrow! If Chinese food arrived -- allowing YotT to keep calm and carry on -- we'll post a pic.

UPDATE: Dinner was served, after all.

Wait a minute — Day 1 of YotT was January 2, not January 1? Now that's unforgivable.

Well, the web was closed for the New Year, so I had to wait a day, Chronos :)

Meh. I think any reasonable person would define a day for the purposes of this project as something like 7 AM to 3 AM, with the exception of December 31, 2012.
