There Will Be Busch: Budweiser Shooting Commercial Tonight on Hudson Street
You may have thought that the Village -- a hotbed of Belgian ales, saisons, barley wines, craft beers, and locavoric brews -- had become impervious to mass-marketed suds. But into that hoppy maelstrom Anheuser-Busch dives this evening, shooting a commercial near Horatio Street beginning at 8 p.m. and running all the way to 4 a.m.
The well-heeled locals can't be too pleased at the prospect of four-story light cranes, blinding illumination, directorial megaphone shouts, and -- worst of all -- cessation of street parking, in a neighborhood where indoor parking is coveted, and can run as high as $800 per month.
On the other hand, Fork in the Road is excited. Will there be Clydesdales? Celebrity quaffers? Cheerleaders? Tune in tomorrow morning to find out.
