Elaine Carroll in character as Mary-Kate Olsen

Elaine Carroll is the hilarious comedian who parodies Mary-Kate Olsen in the online series Very Mary-Kate. Streamed on College Humor, the two-minute-long episodes portray fictionalized accounts of the day-to-day happenings of the Olsen twin's life. Most activities include pestering her bodyguard and not eating. When she does eat, she tends to favor things like morphine martinis. We got in touch with Elaine, who revealed what her daily diet is like, and also gave us some insight into the eating habits of Very Mary-Kate.

What is your daily diet like?

Elaine: I'd say my daily diet is pretty normal and healthy-ish. Bagels, salads, coffee -- that sort of thing.

Elaine as Mary-Kate: Samesies! Pictures of bagels, pictures of salads, pictures of dressings on the sides of those salads.

The typical MK diet:

Where do you do most of your food shopping?

Elaine: Mostly the farmers' market and Trader Joe's.

Elaine as Mary-Kate: I'm famous so I prefer to shop online. Most days, I do a quick Google image search for whatever food I need. Sometimes I don't even press print.

What is your all-time favorite thing to eat?

Elaine: Definitely my grandma's ziti.

Elaine as Mary-Kate: Definitely pills I find in my grandma's purse.

How to make a pill-based smoothie:

What's your favorite New York City restaurant?

Elaine: Per Se. I've been there once.

Elaine as Mary-Kate: Per Se. I'm there all the time. I don't even need to see a menu. They just bring me the MK Special.

What was your last great meal?

Elaine: My last great meal was the wienerschnitzel at Blaue Gans.

Elaine as Mary-Kate: My last great meal was the March 1997 cover of Bon Appétit.
