Learn about the U.S. beer industry at the Park Slope Co-op on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with Beer Wars, a documentary by director Anat Baron. Tickets are free.

Batali Sandwiches at Num Pang

Starting February 15, Num Pang will serve sandwiches created by famous chefs and donate all proceeds to charity. First up is Mario Batali's sandwich with cotecchino sausage, balsamic pickled onions, Cacio di Roma cheese, chili mayo, pickled carrots, cucumber, and cilantro on a toasted semolina baguette. President's Day Tasting Tour at the 92Y

Learn about the food customs of Washington's and Lincoln's times, as well as the origins of America's most popular dishes at the 92Y on February 16 at 7 p.m.

Gumbo Cook-Off at Jimmy's No. 43

Mardi Gras is almost here! Celebrate by eating tons of gumbo at Jimmy's No. 43. On February 19 from 1 to 3 p.m., pay $20 for unlimited tastings of gumbo made by chefs and home cooks.
