What's Happening This Week: Beer and More Beer, A Moveable Feast

There's no excuse not to drink beer this week.
Check out the food and drink events happening this week in NYC:

Make fresh egg pasta from scratch at the Bowery Culinary Center on Tuesday, March 6, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $55.

Apartment-hop and try out plates from restaurants like Blue Smoke, the Bourgeois Pig, and Flex Mussels at the Ritz Plaza, starting at 6:30 p.m. Guests will sample each dish from participating restaurants in a different apartment in the building. The event is sponsored by the James Beard Foundation, and tickets cost $85.

Bierkraft has begun hosting beer tastings every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Each week, the class will focus on a different type of beer or brewery and there'll be free snacks.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day early with lots of beer at Jimmy's No. 43 on March 7 at 7 p.m. Shmaltz Beer and Sly Fox Beer are the featured brands.

Learn how to pickle a pepper -- or whatever's in season -- at the Brooklyn Kitchen with Bob McClure of McClure's Pickles on Monday, March 12. The class is $55, and a jar of homemade pickles is included in the price.
