Peri Wine bar on the Lower East Side is being transformed into a tapas bar, which will be called Bar Chevere. [Bowery Boogie]

The first U.S. branch of an Italian pizza chain, Ribalta, has moved into the Piola space in the East Village. The new restaurant will include an in-house pizza school. [Grub Street]

The people behind Taboon in Hell's Kitchen have opened a takeout branch near Union Square called Taboonette. [Tasting Table]
