What's Happening This Week: Pig Butchering, Varli Food Festival

At the second annual Tasting Brooklyn, taking place at the Dumbo Loft on April 3, you can try the cooking of over 25 Brooklyn food venders, like Little Neck, Arancini Bros., and Fornino Park Slope. Doors open for general admission at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $50.

Witness the butchering of a whole pig at the Brooklyn Kitchen on April 3 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $85.

Find out what whiskey, rum, and grappa pairs well with dark chocolate at the 92Y on April 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40.

Explore both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine with a cooking demonstration and food samples at the Bowery Culinary Center on April 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Try out dishes from the world's top Indian chefs at the Varli Food Festival, which takes place at Manhattan's Metropolitan Pavilion on April 5 from 5 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $100.
