Straight-talking Dr. Ruth Westheimer is behind a new wine, Vin d'Amour, that will hit New York stores this July.

"I'm always saying couples should drink to relax, but not too much," says the 4-foot-7 octogenarian, adding, with her typical directness, that "if [the woman] drinks too much, she falls asleep and if [the man] drinks too much, he can't perform.

"It's the same problem for gay couples."

Dr. Ruth does not endorse falling asleep right after sex either ("Afterplay. As important as foreplay!" See below). Perhaps another reason why Vin d'Amour, the wine of love, is low alcohol at just 6%.

The Post also reports that the one-woman play based on her life, "Dr. Ruth: All The Way," will premiere next month. It will chronicle her escape from Nazi Germany, her time as a sniper in the Haganah, her teaching career, and her pioneering work as a sex therapist and media personality.
