Johnny Cakes and Red Flannel Hash at Parish Hall in Williamsburg

Dense and delicious corn cakes called Johnny Cakes, served with candied rhubarb and upstate maple syrup.

Although not usually a fan of brunch, Fork in the Road was recently knocked out by the brunch that commenced last weekend at Parish Hall, the new Williamsburg offshoot of Egg. There were eggs, of course, but also corn-based flapjacks, steel-cut oatmeal with roasted vegetables and sea salt, and, of course, homemade granola. View the brunch menu here.

Brunch is served at Parish Hall starting at 10 a.m. on weekends. A full bar is available, plus press-pot coffee.

Looks sooooo good!  Too bad I can't have any, or I would totally be all over that!  But I have to watch my weight!
