Paris Review editor Lorin Stein remembers the recently shuttered Lakeside Lounge, where he heard Jason Morphew and the Reachers play, and where the photo booth took "magically good photos."

Stein shares photos of American poet Frederick Seidel taken in the magical booth (one of which Seidel used as the cover of his collection, Ooga Booga).

The Steve Keene acrylics on the walls, the mismatched bench and tables, the overflowing ashtrays. The fug.
