Green Table Crawfish Boil
On Sunday, Green Table inside the Chelsea Market will be hosting a New Orleans-style crawfish boil at 6:30 pm. According to Zagat, chef Brent Sims will be adding his secret ingredient to the peel-and-eat crustaceans, paired with unlimited beer.
The Americano Flamenco Brunch
The Americano will be launching their new weekly Flamenco Brunch featuring contemporary flamenco guitar player Andreas Arnold this Sunday. The restaurant is headed by executive chef Joseph Buenconsejo and features Latin-inspired menu. Some dishes available: huevos a la Mexicana for $14 (two scrambled eggs, onions, tomatoes, peppers, frijoles refritos, salsa verde, tortillas), an acai bowl for $12 (homemade granola, banana), and salmon a la plancha ramps for $23 (maitake mushrooms, spring onion, beurre rouge).
Picnic on Governors Island
On Memorial Day weekend, 5 Boro PicNYC will be taking over Governors Island from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm for a two-day celebration of craft beer, gourmet eats, and live tunes.
Expert ham carvers, Raul Martin, Cristina Garcia, and Alex Velez will be showing off their secret carving skills at Despaña for a jamón carving master class on Wednesday. May 23. Tickets are $350 per person.
