What to Expect from Sugar and Plumm
Sugar and Plumm will be opening their flagship bistro, bakery, and chocolate shop this summer on the Upper West Side. On the heels of that news is the announcement that pastry guru Pichet Ong is in as executive pastry chef.
Ong, a James Beard award-nominee, will oversee daily offerings that will include warm chocolate chunk cookies, rugelach, and traditional French macarons. He will also introduce innovative treats, including a giant raspberry-apple Pop Tart, and a lemon blueberry creme brûlée tart -- all of which will be produced daily out of Sugar and Plumm's commissary across the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey.
The store will be located at 377 Amsterdam Avenue at 78th Street.
