Sailor Jerry to Give Away Free Tattoos, Free Rum

Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins, the American tattoo artist and sailor, would have been 101 years old this year. To celebrate, the rum company named in his honor, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, is partnering with 3 Kings Tattoos (572 Manhattan Ave., Brooklyn) to offer 101 free anchor tattoos (pictured below). The anchors will be available as 1-inch or 2-inch tattoos, on Tuesday, June 12, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., when artists Alex Mcwatt, Myles Karr, Jeremy Sutton, and Jason June will be offering them on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rum-lovers, and those buzzing from their freshly inked anchor stamps, can join celebrations at Matchless Bar (557 Manhattan Ave., Brooklyn) where they'll be serving free rum cocktails throughout the night.
Updated 3-inch tattoos will not be available.
