Scary Monsters, Super Freaks, Lobster Rolls
Red Hook Flicks, the free outdoor film series on Red Hook's grassy Valentino Pier, has announced its summer schedule. The theme is Scary Monsters and Super Freaks (yesss!) and new vendors this summer include Pok Pok and Mile End Deli. Here's the lineup:

Film: Alien
Snacks: Mark's Pizza
August 7
Film: Zombieland
Snacks: Pok Pok

Film: Blade
Snacks: Mile End Deli
August 21
Film: E.T.
Snacks: The Good Fork
Shows start at around 8:30 p.m., or when the sky is dark enough. Pets are welcome if they're well behaved. Bugs that bite tend to be an issue at dusk by the water, so bring bug spray, something to sit on, and of course some cash for snacks.
