Clam Talk at the South Street Seaport Museum
Oysters may be getting all the press today but clams have been a New York staple since the 19th century, and the clam has made a comeback everywhere from Brooklyn to Bridgehampton.

There will be a clam talk tomorrow, August 1, at the South Street Seaport Museum . The museum will be teaming up with the New Amsterdam Market for a panel discussion on clam culture.
Panelists include journalist Hugh Merwin, folklorist Nancy Solomon, and clammer Alex Duschere. The discussion will be moderated by Robert LaValva of the New Amsterdam Market.
