Summer is the season for ice and booze. But when those things are mixed together and slapped on with the word "free," it's a deal we can't resist.
The eclectic and environmentally-friendly Bottlerocket in the Flatiron district will be handing out free alcoholic ice treats every Thursday in August from 6-8 pm. The event is called Get Some: Spiked Ice. Here's the schedule:
August 2: Angel's Envy Bourbon "Old Fashioned" Sno-Cones
August 9: Averna Ice Pops
August 16: 'Ti Punch Sorbet and Ice Cream with Creole Shrubb Liqueur d'Orange
August 23: El Bujo Mezcal Presents Hibiscus Citrus Smoke Juleps & Night Owl Ice Pops with Golden Ginger
August 30: Bootlegger Vodka Sno-cones with Fruit Syrups
The tasting is for everyone (over 21 obviously), but singles are especially encouraged to come and "Get Some."
