See what NYC's restaurant critics have been up to this week:

Tejal Rao goes to Reynards at the Wythe Hotel and advises patrons to look out for the specials: "A dish of whole fried sardines, layered like the petals of some awesome flower, came one afternoon with roasted potatoes, yogurt, and a generous toss of fresh mint and parsley ($15)."

Jay Cheshes
from Time Out New York is also impressed with Reynards: "Reynards is the new cool kid on the block without ever trying to be, a Balthazar for Brooklyn, urbane and ambitious, mature and low-key"

Robert Sietsema tries the ethnic fare in Bay Ridge. This time -- Yemeni cuisine from Yemen Cafe: "More adventuresome souls will seek out tribal Yemeni dishes that include the national dish of salta ($18, with your choice of side meat), a bubbling cauldron of gravy with foamy white gunk on top."

Ryan Sutton makes it to Mission Chinese Food, complains about the wait, but says that the joint "is proof that an excellent restaurant can keep things affordable even while coddling the customer a bit."

Pete Wells gives two stars to Pok Pok Ny: "Here comes another shift: you could prowl the city for years without finding some of the ingredients in Mr. Ricker's kitchen."

The New Yorker tries the fare at Francesca on Clinton Street: "The careful simplicity of the menu sometimes results in a bland dining experience."

Michael Kaminer for the Daily News reviews the Bowery Diner and gives them three stars: "The Bowery Diner makes an easy spot to while away a weekday evening, when locals seem to outnumber visitors, or late weekend afternoons, when the place exhales after brunch."
