Vegetable Samosas at Little Pakistan Deli, Dish #87
![]()
Welcome to 100 Dishes to Eat Now, the tasty countdown leading up to our "Best of 2012" issue. Tune in each day (weekends too!) for a new dish from the Fork in the Road team.
Plenty of places to get a sit-down South Asian meal in the East Village, but what about a nutritious snack? Enter Little Pakistan Deli, an outpost near the edge of the EV's northern frontier. The tetrahedral vegetable samosas -- crammed with potatoes and peas and served with a yogurt dipping sauce an odd shade of green -- are only $1 each, and are they good! One makes a good snack; two a light lunch; three a full meal. I challenge you to eat more (unless you're a competitive eater).
