Shrimp With Eggplant in Garlic Sauce from Taste of China (430 Fourth Avenue, 718-768-5555)
The shrimp are fresh and the garlic sauce has a spicy kick to it, but the eggplant -- one of our favorite edible plants -- could have been a bit more tender in this $6.25 pick.
