Fig-Paste-Stuffed French Toast: $11

Enid's might be looked at by some as the linking restaurant/bar between Greenpoint and Williamsburg -- or in other words, the apex of North Brooklyn twentysomething lifestyle. Late at night, find DJs spinning music that might be considered too loud (if you're lame!) and cheap bottles of Miller High Life. On weekend mornings, though, the joint transforms into a nice, cozy brunch spot. The above fig-paste-stuffed French toast -- a weekend special that's delicate, light, and a sweet twist on a traditionally heavy dish -- is one of the menu's safe bets if you want something a bit grander and harder to pronounce than just bacon and eggs for your hangover.
