More Guy Fieri Bashing, Michael Anthony at Yale

Anthony Bourdain called Guy Fieri's new restaurant a "terror-dome." He blamed Fieri for "single-handedly turning the neighborhood into the 'Ed Hardy district,'" and mused that the sunglasses-wearing chef "set back spelling two decades." [Sirius XM]

The guys over at Big Gay Ice Cream also visited Fieri's restaurant and called it "rungs below Applebee's yet 70% more expensive." They ended up giving up their leftover ribs to their garage attendant. [Big Gay Ice Cream, Twitter]

Speaking of Fieri, it apparently costs $100,000 to book him for an appearance. According to The Smoking Gun, Fieri was paid that much for a 60-minute appearance at the New York State Fair in August. His company, Knuckle Sandwich LLC, was also paid $1500 to cover his travel costs. [The Smoking Gun]

Michael Anthony, the executive chef of Gramercy Tavern, was over at Yale to talk about sustainable food practices. Gramercy Tavern gets their produce from the Union Square Green Market. "Ultimately, it is true that eating is a political act," Anthony said. "I want to know where food comes from." [Yale Daily News]
