Say Hello to American Table Café and Bar, Williamsburg Pizza

Marcus Samuelsson recently opened American Table Café and Bar in the lobby of Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. Menu items include pulled pork sandwiches with apple slaw, the doro wat tacos, filled with Ethiopian-spiced chicken and hard-boiled egg, and scalloped sausage with curry. After living in Williamsburg's southside for more than a decade, friends Aaron McCann and Geoff Curley joined forces with Nino Coniglio and built Williamsburg Pizza. Every pizza starts with Coniglio's fresh dough, made in-house using his own homemade yeast, and is then topped with Williamsburg Pizza's San Marzano sauce, made with tomatoes imported from Italy. 265 Union Avenue, Brooklyn.

Hu Kitchen debuted on Friday at Union Square with a yogurt bar and preindustrial food. Hu is short for "human" and it's a two-story market and restaurant. Wild seafood and vegetarian options included. 78 Fifth Avenue. [Grub Street]

Upper East Side kosher pop-up Prime at the Bentley officially opened over the weekend. There's a sushi bar and a menu highlights Mediterranean fish. 500 East 62nd Street. [Tasting Table]

Numero 28 Cucina, a rustic trattoria featuring Neapolitan pizza and Sicilian cooking, is now open on the Upper West Side. Menu items include lasagna, rigatoni alla bolognese, eggplant parmigiana, homemade tiramisu, and an assortment of antipasti. 660 Amsterdam Avenue. [Tasting Table]
