San Francisco chef Elizabeth Falkner opened Krescendo, a Boerum Hill pizza place on Atlantic Avenue. The new digs feature classic pizzas, pastas, desserts, and cocktails from former Bourbon & Branch bartender Darren Crawford.
Fletcher's Brooklyn Barbecue opened on Friday, despite their location in Gowanus, close to the water. "We're a block away from Zone A but the water didn't make it here," said Bill Fletcher on Friday morning. "We're ready to have a good time."
L&W Oyster Co. opened this weekend on Fifth Avenue. The Flatiron clam shack serves dishes from the sea and features kitschy décor. [NY Times]
