Marco Canora Will Host Sandy Benefit Dinner for NYC Food Flood

Got plans next Monday night? You might want to cancel them because on December 3, Hearth Restaurant and Terroir Wine Bar will join forces to host a benefit for Sandy Relief efforts.

And they've called on a lot of oft-boldfaced names to help out.

Marco Canora, Hearth's chef, owner and congenial guiding force behind this five-course meal, will be joined by chefs Sean Brock (Husk Restaurant, McCrady's Restaurant), Georges Mendes (Aldea), Alex Stupak (Empellón, Empellón Cocina), and Siobhan Decarlo (Hearth, pastry). The proceeds from the evening's event will assist the efforts NYC Food Flood, the organization founded by Canora and Mendes (along with Andrew Carmellini and Seamus Mullen) that serves to feed hungry New Yorkers affected by Hurricane Sandy. Eager diners should take note -- the price tag on the event is as hefty as the panel of participants. (It'll set you back $250.) You can make reservations by calling Hearth.
