The New Yorker Food Issue Hits Stands, Embraces Sausage

The New Yorker released its annual food issue today and it features a lengthy article on "the Axel Rose of cooking," Craig Thornton, and his underground, Los Angeles supper club, Wolvesmouth.

Also in the issue, NY Times former food critic Mimi Sheraton embraces a sausage fest. Literally.

Other standouts in the magazine include Calvin Trillin's exploration of "family-style" Mexican food, as well as a profile of Iraeli-born, London-bred Yotam Ottolenghi and his wide world of vegetables. Most of the issue is available for free online but to find out how about Chang-Rae Lee learned to make the perfect Manhattan, you'll need to hit the newsstands.
