Due to Sandy, Gov. Cuomo and the New York State Liquor Authority announced that they will take measures to help venues with liquor licenses in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, including extending license renewal dates, free license replacements, and New Year's Eve permits.

They will also replace any license certificates that Sandy washed away during the hurricane free of charge. Venues that were approved during the hurricane will have an extra 60 days to meet approval conditions and the liquor authority will hand out extended temporary licenses to those who currently have them.

See all of the new measures here and (safely) abuse those temp licenses while you still can. Thanks, Governor!
