Marijuana Is Now Legal in Colorado and Washington, So Here's a Recipe

Don't Bogart this post, my friend.

Yesterday really was a two-hit Tuesday.

Following the reelection of President Obama, Colorado voters passed Amendment 64 -- the act that aims to legalize the recreational use of marijuana by adults -- shortly after the election results were announced. Washington residents also voted "yes," legalizing the drug for those over 21.

The decision marks a tremendous win for the Colorado's pro-pot groups, who have been actively campaigning since 2006, when the effort was initially denied legalization. Voters in Washington fought less resistance in their move to pass the motion.

HuffPo reports that Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, who actively resisted the measure, accepted its passing last night stating, "The voters have spoken and we have to respect their will...that said federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug, so don't break out the Cheetos or goldfish just yet."

No offense to the salty snacks, but they're not exactly the first food that comes to mind following this (trail)blazing decision. Our own Robert Sietsema previously reported from his apartment the field on his epic recipe developments in cannabis culture and why your wok can do more than stir fry.
