Watch a Post-Sandy Video Tour of Red Hook's Fairway Market

Categories: Edible News

Fairway Market gives a video tour of its store in Red Hook that was hit with 15-foot waves and flooded during Hurricane Sandy. It is in the process of rebuilding. The only thing left in the store is an old coffee roaster, which will be replaced.

Andy Zuleta, the general manager, says, "We'll be back stronger, better than ever and more efficient."

He shows us how they're using hot air to dry out the building. "There's nothing here," he said but is excited to start fresh. "We're going to make it more customer friendly." They make no promises when Fairway will be ready for business, but we're pulling for it.
