Blintzes are like the lovechild of a crepe and a burrito. Sold yet?
These airy, easily-breakable pancakes are stuffed with soft cheese before being wrapped and fried in oil or butter. Some cooks will top this typically breakfast-time dish with jam, powdered sugar, or -- sorry Nanna! -- chopped bacon, but bare versions are equally satisfying. In fact, blintzes may be best enjoyed when eaten by-hand, without any gluttonous embellishments. After all, they're really just an excuse to eat sweet, warm cheese in the morning.
