Say Goodbye to Soutine and the Hairy Monk
The Hairy Monk, the Boston-themed bar in Murray Hill, closed earlier this month. But according to DNAinfo, Boston fans have taken to Honky Tonk and are calling it Monk North.
Soutine, the Upper West Side bakery, closed after the Thanksgiving season. According to MyUpperWest, the neighboring Muffins Cafe bought the lease in November.
Tiengarden on Allen Street will be closed until February 2013. A sign on their door claimed that the Chinese-inspired vegan restaurant will go under renovations until then. Last year the DOH closed the Lower East Side spot, so let's hope it will reopen as scheduled.
