Williamsburg got a new thai spot from Pichet Ong and Sripraphai Tipmanee. Qi Thai Grill opened last week on N. 9th Street and the menu features a combination of small plates from Tipmanee's Woodside restaurant Sripraphai, and savory specials and desserts from Ong. Think Chiang Mai sausages and beef tendon larb all off the L train. 176 N. 9th St., Brooklyn

New Orleans-inspired Catfish opened in Crown Heights. There are classic dishes like gumbo and oysters, but the menu also features vegan ratatouille and an impressive array of whiskeys, scotches, and cocktails. 1433 Bedford Ave., Brooklyn

The Lower East Side got another trendy Asian fusion restaurant in the form of The General. With nearly 250 seats, according to Flo Flab, there's a dessert bar, a cafe, a dining bar, and a dining room. The General is the newest from the EMM group, the guys behind Meatpacking's Catch, and the menu features pot stickers, Vietnamese summer rolls, pad thai, Peking duck, and lobster tempura. 199 Bowery

Cafe Tallulah claimed its spot on Columbus Avenue. The bar and lounge features a raw bar and a French menu with foie gras, onion soup, and beef Bourguignon from Roxanne Spruance. With Employees Only behind the cocktails, the Upper West Side just got a little cooler. 240 Columbus Ave.

Vermont pizza chain American Flatbread has a cult following. Eater reports that the New England spot opened its first New York outpost in Tribeca. The pizzas are made in a wood-fired clay oven from local ingredients and the menu has about 10 different pies and three salads. 205 Hudson St.
