The folks who brought you this fried chicken sandwich at Pop's opened Sweet Chick in Williamsburg.

Manzanilla, the new restaurant from Boqueria's Yann de Rochefort, opened on Wednesday, according to Eater. Rochefort and chef Dani García head the Spanish spot in Gramercy. The menu has a few snack options -- croquettes, Iberico pork charcuterie, and oxtail brioche -- and the larger dishes include suckling pig, black rice with seafood, and monkfish in salsa verde. But the Sherry list is longer than any of the other menus: 16 options. 345 Park Ave. S.

Italian bistro Verso has been closed since its basement was flooded after Hurricane Sandy. EV Grieve noted that the restaurant on Avenue C has reopened. "They'll be in soft-opening mode this weekend," and will be fully functioning at the end of the month. After some renovations, the interior is a little more bare boned with exposed beams. You still can't make reservations on OpenTable, but walking in should be no problem. 127 Ave. C

John Seymour and Sam Saleh met when they opened restaurants in Williamsburg. Seymour of Pop's of Brooklyn and Saleh of Organic Planet have come together to bring chicken and waffles to Williamsburg. Sweet Chick opens Tuesday. The menu includes bacon-wrapped oysters, mac and cheese, and "sloppy duck sliders." Three different kinds of waffles -- classic, bacon-cheddar, and rosemary-mushroom -- might make it hard to stray from the menu's centerpiece, but sharing a cookie jar for dessert doesn't sound half bad. 164 Bedford Ave.

Two hours north of the city, the Culinary Institute of America opened The Bocuse Restaurant, a French eatery that doubles as a "learning lab" for future culinary geniuses. Though it's quite a trek, Bocuse will offer a formal dining experience along with ice cream chilled by liquid nitrogen, and whiskey barrels burned with a crème brûlée torch. For all you know, you could be eating dishes prepared by the next Anthony Bourdain. 1946 Campus Dr., Hyde Park

Ciccio is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Soho, Flo Fab reported. Italian chef Giacomo Romano will serve Florentine dishes like panini, homemade pasta, and meatballs. 190 Ave. of the Americas
