Andrew Carmellini's Lafayette Opened on Monday

Andrew Carmellini's new French restaurant, Lafayette, opened on Monday. He tweeted that the bakery opened at noon and dinner service was available at 5:30. Carmellini joined forces with his partners from Locanda Verde and the Dutch, Josh Pickard and Luke Ostrom, to run the bistro. Chef Damon Wise crafted a Gallic menu that features house-made ravioli, grilled octopus with eggplant, and roasted lamb chops with burnt orange and olives. 350 Lafayette Street; 212-533-3000

Soccer bar Nevada Smith's reopened a block away from its original location, Zagat reports. The East Village pub was forced to move a year and a half ago to make space for new housing. Its new location is up and running with soccer-watching parties posted regularly on Facebook. 100 Third Avenue; 917-402-1510

Blossom du Jour opened its third location on Sunday in Chelsea. The all-vegan restaurant has outposts in the West Village and midtown . Its new location is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A "midtown melt" features cajun-spiced seitan and vegan cheese, while a buffalo wrap offers soy tenders with buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. Per Se alumni Matt Danzer and Ann Redding opened a new Thai spot in Nolita, Uncle Boons, Gothamist learned. The menu is divided into smaller plates ("drinking food") like caramelized oxtail and larger dishes like pork spare ribs with shrimp-paste rice. 7 Spring Street; 646-370-6650
