Are you headed to 4Knots this weekend? You should be. The festival, now in its third year, gets underway tomorrow at the South Street Seaport; this year's lineup includes Kurt Vile and the Violators, White Lung, and Marnie Stern. On the reasonable chance that you'll want to eat or drink something nearby, we've rounded up five good options in the area.

Dead Rabbit
This Irish pub and cocktail bar harkens back to the end of the 19th century, invoking a drinking den that might have made its home in this part of town long before the temperance movement killed America's first beverage industry boom. Duck into the first floor taproom for meat pies and Scotch eggs paired with a beer or inventive drink, or sip punch from a teacup in the parlor upstairs.

SmorgasBar
The founders of Brooklyn Flea and SmorgasBurg have commandeered the South Street Seaport this summer, and from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., you'll find 10 food vendors--including Blue Marble Ice Cream, Landhaus, and Red Hook Lobster Pound--doling out treats that pair nicely with local beers. This is one of your best options in the area if you're looking for a quick bite.

Trading Post
This just-opened spot was built as a local respite from more Wall Street-centric joints in the vicinity. Grab a seat in the dining room, at the bar, or in the whiskey cellar for upscale American fare like the tomahawk steak or a few small bites like chicken liver and a salad, culled from produce sold at the New Amsterdam Market. The place offers 35 beers on tap and a sizeable wine list.

Meade's
This old school spot's a bit of a dive--the walls are bedecked with bras--but it offers simple pub fare at a cheap price. Drop in for a burger saddled with bacon and cheese, and knock back a beer at the same time.

Beekman Beer Garden
It's the outdoor waterfront seating and view that really lure us to this spot, which makes it a good place to rest your feet when you get tired of standing (though you may want to wait until the sun goes down, since it's supposed to be hot tomorrow). Nab a pulled pork sandwich or a platter of nachos to go with one of the bar's many beers.
