It's a beautiful Thursday, New York City. Here's a look at what's happening in restaurant news around the city.

Blanca now takes online reservations

If you've ever tried to phone in a reservation for Blanca, the prix fixe Bushwick spot owned by Carlos Mirarchi, you know how frustrating the process is, especially on the rare occasion that you're actually able to get through, only to be told all seats for the upcoming month have already been snapped up. Ryan Sutton noticed yesterday that the restaurant's online system is finally up and running as of today. Don't expect to be less frustrated, though: we looked for a table twenty minutes after this month's batch went live, and all slots appear to be filled.

Nuchas Artisan Hand-Held Foods now in Washington Heights

DNAInfo notices that Midtown empanada cart Nuchas Artisan Hand-Held Foods has been posting up in Washington Heights lately at the corner of West 168th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue. The mobile concept does a regular Tuesday pit stop at that location from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is in talks with other vendors to make it a bit of a gathering. Find the meat-filled Argentine pastries at the Nuchas kiosk in Times Square any day of the week.

Taj Tribeca closes

Per the Tribeca Citizen, Indian joint Taj Tribeca closed its doors unceremoniously after a legal possession was posted in its window. The restaurant's website also notes that it's closed for business with no word on whether it will return.
