A typical party scene in the garden at Roberta's
Time flies: June's coming to a close. Before you break out the swim trunks and head to the beach for the Fourth of July, here's a look at some activities you can do in the city this weekend without getting burned.

Pigs and Pies, Roberta's, 261 Moore Street, Brooklyn, Friday, 7 p.m.

Smoked meat specialist S. Wallace Edwards and Sons teams up with Roberta's to bring you a party full of pies and pork in the restaurant's backyard garden. A selection of beer and wine will also be available to accompany the charcuterie and carbs. All-inclusive tickets are $55.

Meet the Winemaker--Paumanok, Astor Wine & Spirits, 399 Lafayette, Saturday, 3 p.m.

Get a taste of Long Island's North Fork wine trail right here in the city this weekend, when Paumanok Vineyards hosts a complimentary tasting featuring Riesling and Cabernet Sauvingon. Tasters also receive a 15 percent discount off any bottle of wine that is poured that day.

Caribbean Food and Music Festival, 180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, Saturday, 7 p.m.

If dancing and dining is your thing, The Society for the Advancement of the Caribbean Diaspora (SACD) is hosting an evening full of revelry. Food and drink specialties from Jamaica, Trinidad, and other Caribbean nations are on hand, though you'll want to avoid overeating so you can reggae or salsa dance later on. Proceeds from the event will go towards SACD's Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $45.
