The weekend is almost here, and if you're looking forward to spending quality time with dad on Sunday, check out the roundup of offbeat food-related Father's Day activities we posted yesterday. If you're weekend isn't revolving around celebrating Dad--or if he's game for non-Father's Day-related outings on his special weekend--then take a look at some brand-new events as well as an old classic hitting the Big Apple this weekend.

Savor: An American Craft Beer and Food Experience, Altman Building, 135 West 18th Street, Friday and Saturday, 7:30 to 11 p.m.

Making its debut in Manhattan, this six-year-old craft beer and food pairing extravaganza is good for hop heads and amateur beer-drinkers alike. Led by Chef Adam Dulye, craft beer pairing consultant and owner of San Francisco's Monk's Kettle and The Abbot's Cellar, attendees will have the chance to sample some of handiwork from the 76 breweries on hand. Tickets are $174.50 for general admission, and admittance to one of a number of various educational beer salons is extra.

LIC Flea & Food, 5-22 46th Avenue, Queens, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.

Fans of outdoor flea markets along the waterfront no longer have to subject themselves to Brooklyn banjo music. Beginning this Saturday and running through early November, Long Island City plays host to its very own flea market, complete with offerings from neighborhood favorites Alobar, Manducatis, and M. Wells Dinette. The market will showcase a wide selection of Queens-based vendors offering everything thing from baked goods to bow ties.

Jazz Age Lawn Party, Governors Island, Saturday and Sunday, 5 to 10 p.m.

Williamsburg isn't the only place you can dress like you're from the 1920s and enjoy artisanal cocktails. This weekend, grab Marty McFly and jump into the Delorean--OK, it's a ferry, but you can pretend--and head over to Governors Island for the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party. Brooklyn Brewery and St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur will be providing era-appropriate refreshments with a swinging menu to match. Reserve your chance to dance the Lindy Hop before some gent sweeps your gal away.
