If you've been meaning to explore LIC, Brooklyn Brewery is coordinating an epic bar crawl that will have you giving directions to tourists in no time. Beginning at noon, participants can pick up a complimentary "Immersion" card at Alewife or L.I.C. Bar and receive drink and food discounts at numerous local businesses. Explore the world of graffiti at 5 Pointz while sipping on Sorachi Ace, and stick around for a free comedy show at The Creek and The Cave.
Bastille Day Barbecue, multiple locations, Sunday
If you haven't had the chance to explore French Restaurant Week, chowing down on a whole roasted pig with sides like skillet cornbread and French potato salad will help you catch up quickly. For $210 (plus tax and tip), up to six guests can enjoy a three-course family-style dining experience while reflecting on France's independence at any Tour de France restaurant, including L'Express, Marseille, and Barbounia. Reservations are required due to limited availability and can be made by emailing RSVP@chefdriven.com. Afterwards, burn off those calories at Bastille Day on 60th Street. Or, you know, if you have any room left, you can always stuff your face with crepes.

In celebration of French Independence Day, this new Upper East Sider will turn back the clock to 1789 by redecorating its dining room with a period theme. Waiters in era-appropriate garb present steak tartare tableside, and a special menu will be available in additional to à la carte house specialties such as escargot and a charcuterie board.
