No. 61: Loaded nachos from Pork Slope

Chef Dale Talde's Pork Slope deals in well-executed American bar food; the menu comprises classics like burgers, wings, a wedge salad, and a BLT, all of which are significantly tastier than their counterparts at a divier place. The best thing on the list, though, is the loaded nachos, built on a bed of house-made tortilla chips so thin and crispy they practically dissolve on the tongue. Those triangles are the vehicle for heat-laced hearty beef-and-been chili, creamy molten cheese sauce, racy pickled jalapeños, juicy cubed tomatoes, chopped onions, and a crowning topping of shredded cheese plus ribbons of sour cream. The result is like the high-achieving love child of guilty-pleasure-ballpark nachos and the classic barroom platter--you get the best parts of both served on a red plastic tray.

Later this year, we'll pen our Best of New York issue, our annual love letter to what's great in this town. When that paper hits the streets, you'll find our picks for the very best this city has to offer when it comes to dozens of cuisines, restaurants, dishes, and drinks. Until then, you can get a taste of our contenders as we count down, in no particular order, our 100 favorite dishes from around the boroughs, a list of laudable eats worth tracking down right now.

Yes, everybody likes pork even myself but want to know the effect on colon health. I am thinking of going for colonic so what’s your suggestion. Should I be eating these kinds of dishes (Pork Slope's)?
