Most of the menu at Coppelia (207 West 14th Street, 212-858-5001), $2.25-$9.95

The board at 24/7 spot Coppelia dabbles in traditional diner fare with Latin American influence -- and most of it comes in at under ten bucks.

This Latin diner is a perennial Fork in the Road favorite: The food is good, the price is right, and the hours are 24/7. Super cheap and filling are the empanadas, which sell for between $2.25 and $3.25 and come stuffed with corn, chicken, beef, or oxtail; three of those pouches make a full meal. Soup is another economical choice -- a bowl of chicken and rice will set you back just $4.95. Then there's the entire sandwich board, a list that includes a cubano, a BLT, and a tuna melt: Not a single item on that list transcends the $10 mark, and most leave you enough change to add a side of sweet potato fries. We've seen enough kale salads to last us a lifetime, we adore the iteration here, a mash-up of the bitter green, pepita seeds, queso fresco, and lemon-mustard vinaigrette for $7.95. Or dabble in the breakfast menu, which is served all day: Blue cornmeal pancakes ($8.95), huevos rancheros ($9.95, and eggs with chimichurri fries and toast ($6.95) are all solid options.
